What is green hydrogen?
Green hydrogen is a clean energy alternative, where hydrogen is produced through electrolysis using electricity from renewable sources. Electricity – in this case from solar, wind or other green sources – is used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen can then be used in various sectors including transportation and industrial processes.
Because the electricity used is from renewable sources, the entire process of producing green hydrogen emits minimal or no greenhouse gases, making it a sustainable energy source.
